Location: This is an on-site position based in our Burlington Vermont office with occasional travel to other offices as needed. We strongly prefer candidates who are already located in the area or have meaningful ties to Vermont New Hampshire or Northern New England.
Note: Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law. Vermont or New Hampshire Bar admission is strongly preferred. Experience in real estate environmental law energy law telecommunications permitting regulatory compliance land use or related areas is preferred.

Job Description
- Support a broad range of real estate energy environmental telecommunications public utility permitting and regulatory matters.
- Assist with real estate transactions land use matters project development permitting strategy and regulatory compliance.
- Research analyze and apply specific areas of law affecting real estate energy environmental and telecommunications projects.
- Draft review and analyze legal documents correspondence agreements filings memoranda and project-related materials.
- Work with attorneys and clients on matters involving real estate development energy projects utility issues land use approvals environmental review and telecom infrastructure.
- Communicate with clients agencies opposing counsel consultants and other project participants.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys across Vermont and Northern New Hampshire.
- Take on increasing responsibility as your legal regulatory and client-facing skills develop.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law.
- 1 to 4 years of legal experience preferred.
- Vermont or New Hampshire Bar admission is strongly preferred.
- Experience with real estate transactions permitting regulatory compliance environmental law energy law telecommunications land use public utility work or project development is preferred.
- Excellent legal research writing analytical and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail practical judgment and ability to manage complex legal and regulatory issues.
- Advanced degree or prior professional experience in real estate environmental energy or telecommunications matters is a plus.
- Vermont New Hampshire or Northern New England ties are strongly preferred.
