3 month fixed term contract - onsite in Cebu Philippines

What will I be doing

Working to deliver amazing results for People Services for our client and to help improve and enhance HR processes and capability along the way.

This role will act as the key HR partner for operational teams within a fast-paced globally connected business environment in Cebu. The successful individual will provide hands-on support across employee relations manager coaching engagement and organisational effectiveness while ensuring alignment with both local legislation and wider business objectives.

Your technical expertise agility professionalism dedication can do attitude and willingness to pull out the stops to deliver will be what makes you successful in this role.

Some of the things youll do:

  • Serve as the primary on-the-ground People partner for teams in Cebu building trusted relationships with senior managers and team leaders across all the clients local functions.
  • Provide practical timely and commercially sound People guidance to senior managers on a broad range of topics.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant functional leadership meetings acting as a visible and credible People presence within the Cebu site.
  • Apply a thorough working knowledge of Philippine employment legislation
  • Advise and coach senior managers through complex ER situations including disciplinary processes grievances performance improvement and terminations ensuring all actions are legally sound and consistently applied.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of changes in Philippine employment law and proactively ensure local policies and practices remain compliant and current.
  • Support succession planning and talent mapping for key roles within the Cebu functions feeding insights into the global talent picture.
  • Maintain accurate people data and documentation for the Cebu population supporting compliance and audit requirements.

What were looking for:

  • Solid People Business Partnering or HR generalist experience ideally within a high-volume operationally intensive environment such as customer operations shared services BPO fintech or financial services.
  • Sound current working knowledge of Philippine employment legislation including the Labor Code DOLE regulations and NLRC processes - this is essential not desirable.
  • Proven experience managing a broad range of ER cases from start to finish with the confidence to advise senior managers and escalate appropriately when required.
  • Experience partnering with senior managers and team leaders in a fast-paced operationally driven environment providing practical and timely People support.
  • Comfortable working as part of a globally distributed People team collaborating across time zones and ensuring local execution aligns with global strategy and OKRs.
  • Led by data: able to use workforce metrics and insight to inform people decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Operationally excellent and highly organised with the ability to manage a varied and often unpredictable workload with pace and professionalism.
  • Solution-focused with empathy a can-do attitude and mature decision-making skills.
  • Filipino HR certifications (e.g. PHR-CA) are a welcome addition.
