Youthworks Summer Culinary Instructor
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our YouthWorks Summer Program. The ideal candidate will work closely with a small cohort of 6 students ages 14 to 21 providing both academic support and hands-on learning experiences in an engaging environment.
This role focuses on developing and delivering a meaningful project-based curriculum centered on food preparation and community service. Students will actively participate in planning preparing and providing meals for a local soup kitchen helping them build practical skills teamwork and a sense of civic responsibility.
The Instructor will be responsible for:
- Creating and implementing an engaging age-appropriate curriculum
- Fostering a positive inclusive and structured learning environment
- Supporting youth development skill-building and workplace readiness
- Supervising students during all program activities including meal preparation and service
- Ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met
The ideal candidate must be a certified ServSafe Instructor and able to provide ServSafe certification training to program participants. Experience working with youth particularly in diverse or at-risk populations is strongly preferred.

Hourly rate per contract: $37 for Teachers
