We are seeking a Senior Engineer to play a key role on our Gas Transmission & Midstream (GTM) Measurement Engineering team leading the development of standards solving complex technical challenges and shaping the future of measurement facilities across our GTM Business Unit. This role exists to ensure our assets meet the highest regulatory operational and industry-leading expectations while enabling reliable performance today and for years to come.

What You Will Do:
Develop maintain revise and consolidate Company standards specifications and procedures related to measurement facilities according to Company and industry best practices and the latest governmental regulations.
Provide technical support for Field Operations Asset Management Projects Business Development Environmental Safety Management and other groups to resolve challenges and to interpret and follow Company standards.
Subject Matter Expert on regulations and expectations to ensure compliance (i.e. Measurement Canada PHMSA FERC BSEE BLM TX RRC etc.)
Lead and support task groups related to technical issues incidents lessons learned and continuous improvement of company standards.
Provide guidance and technical support on a broad range of operating assets related to measurement facilities and mainline valves including meters regulators OPP valves heaters odorizers filter separators RTUs transmitters gas quality equipment etc.
Who You Are:
Bachelors degree in engineering; preferred Mechanical or Electrical.
6 years of directly related experience.
Registered member with APEGA as P. the Province of Alberta. If in the US PE is not required.
Familiar with US and Canadian natural gas regulations.
Sharp analytical thinking strong communication and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams to drive results.
Strong experience with designing and supporting meter and regulation assets is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Approximately 80% Office environment vs. 20% in a field office or facilities outside operations in all types of weather. Ability to travel throughout North America and a valid passport is required.
Available to respond to emergency situations and must be able to remain calm and focused during emergency situations.
May be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
Work near toxic or caustic chemicals.
Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
The noise level in some work environments may be above 90 dBA.
Works to meet concrete regulatory deadlines.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Salary:
Ranges from $97000 $140000 USD for US locations based upon candidates experience skills and internal equity.
Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
