Warehouse Fleet Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Peabody Distribution Centre & Facility Manager this Warehouse/Fleet Shift Supervisor performs all duties associated with scheduling the workload of a single cold storage warehouse operation or multiple warehouses to ensure continuity of workflow accuracy and timeliness of shipments & receipts in coordination with the appointment management system for scheduled carriers each day.
This position also is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the internal fleet. Verification of scheduling workload requirements and all DOT associated responsibilities.
Shift: 5:45am to 230pm Monday to Friday 5 days per week. Occasional Saturday.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the shift team members motivating and ensuring their work is done in a safe and productive manner assign daily labor; troubleshoot RF/WMS issues; validate manifests/load accuracy.
- Oversee cold-storage shipping/receiving for frozen goods (HLF/SQF/GMP compliant).
- Lead safety and compliance (pre-shift safety EHS/SQF support ammonia checks EAP response payroll CHEP DOT fleet oversight).
- Generate productivity reports. Process and share via SharePoint. Engage in leadership discussions about productivity.
- Release sales orders to the pick pool; coordinate shortages with Customer Service.
- Ensure inventory availability; expedite transfers with Logistics.
- Manage facility open/close processes; ensure trailers are cleared daily.
- Maintain 95% warehouse utilization; drive replenishment and prevent air picks.
- Coordinate inter-facility freight moves and product allocations to protect service levels.
Qualifications
- A. or B.S. Degree in Logistics Finance related field or equivalent experience in Supply Chain
- Related leadership experience demonstrated ability to lead with integrity
- Strong communication skills Bilingualism (Spanish) is an asset
- Safety-focused. Committed to performing all responsibilities and leading the team in safety best practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong team player and team leader
- Strong computer skills proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SharePoint
- Ability to understand priorities of customer requirements in order to direct labor
- Ability to fully understand priorities and communicate when reallocation of labor is needed
- Certified to drive a forklift
- Considers end customers and consumers at the heart of each action and decision

- Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk sit talk listen and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to use hands to handle operate and feel objects tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to operate a motor vehicle to travel to off-site meetings. The employee must have sufficient visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and digital camera as well as other office and position equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with clients coworkers employees and vendors.
