Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Supervising Senior to support tax planning compliance and advisory engagements for privately held businesses and their owners. This role combines advanced technical tax responsibilities with team leadership overseeing complex tax engagements involving individuals partnerships S corporations and C corporations while mentoring staff and delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate has strong public accounting experience technical tax expertise and the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal state and local tax returns for individuals partnerships S corporations C corporations and privately held businesses.
  • Conduct tax research and analyze complex federal state and local tax issues to support compliance and planning initiatives.
  • Identify year round tax planning opportunities and develop strategic recommendations aligned with client goals and business objectives.
  • Lead and supervise tax staff by managing project workloads delegating assignments reviewing work and providing technical guidance.
  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching performance feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding client needs and delivering responsive high quality tax services.
  • Assist with practice development initiatives process improvements and the implementation of new service delivery strategies.
  • Support engagement planning resource management budgeting and overall project execution to ensure timely accurate client deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Tax Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of U.S. tax consulting or tax compliance experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising staff including delegation training mentoring and performance development.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for multiple entity types including individuals partnerships S corporations and C corporations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and tax compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical organizational communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client service and meeting engagement deadlines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Accounting Taxation or a related discipline.
  • CPA license or equivalent professional credential.
  • Experience providing tax planning and advisory services to privately held businesses and business owners.
  • Strong technical research client relationship management and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and developing tax professionals.
