Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible some overlap with UK GMT or US EST for sprint planning

Remote World is partnering with a UK-based HR tech startup to hire for this role. They build an employee engagement and performance management platform used by HR teams at fast-growing companies. Theyre a small engineering team and every developer ships across the full stack.
The role
Youll build features end-to-end from database schema to React UI working on a modern JavaScript stack ( backend React frontend PostgreSQL). Youll own features from technical design through to production and your work will be used by thousands of HR professionals daily.
What youll do
- Build full-stack features across React frontend and backend
- Design and implement database schemas and migrations in PostgreSQL
- Develop REST API endpoints consumed by the frontend and mobile app
- Review PRs and contribute to technical architecture decisions
- Debug and resolve issues across the stack
What youll need
- Solid JavaScript skills across frontend (React) and backend ()
- Comfortable with SQL databases you can design schemas and write efficient queries
- Experienced with Git and collaborative engineering workflows
- Product-minded you think about user experience not just code
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
- Exposure to GraphQL or REST API design best practices
