Summary:

• Support the planning budgeting and execution of construction projects at aerospace facilities as a Level 2 Facilities Engineer with a focus on construction estimating.

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil structural mechanical electrical and specialized aerospace facility construction projects.

• Collaborate with project management engineering procurement subcontractors and construction teams to develop accurate project estimates and cost analyses.

• Maintain estimating templates unit pricing databases and historical cost data for aerospace and government-contracted construction projects.

• Evaluate change orders perform cost impact analysis and support risk assessments contingency planning and cost control initiatives.

• Generate bid packages review subcontractor quotations and support value engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance with company policies government regulations and contractual requirements including FAR and DFARS standards.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• 5 years of construction estimating experience or equivalent Certified Construction Estimator (CCE) experience.

• 2 4 years of experience estimating large-scale high-tech or government-contracted construction projects.

• Experience with AI-based estimating tools and construction estimating software such as:

  • Sage Estimating

  • WinEst

  • ProEst

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Power BI and related analytical/reporting tools.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Construction methods and materials

  • Building codes and industry standards

  • AIA and ASCE standards

• Ability to read and interpret:

  • Construction drawings

  • Specifications

  • BIM models

• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills with the ability to present complex cost data to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
