Job Summary

Linux Software & Security Engineer- eLxr

Austin TX (Onsite)

Contract

Job Description:

Develop and maintain distribution components (C/C Python etc.)
Create and maintain Debian packages
Investigate patch and remediate CVEs
Contribute fixes upstream to Debian
Improve secure build pipelines and reproducible builds
Implement system hardening (CIS STIG FIPS)
Support Secure Boot TPM and cryptographic configurations

Requirement:

6 years of Linux engineering or distribution experience
Strong knowledge of Linux internals (Debian preferred)
Debian packaging expertise
Experience with CVE management and security patching
Familiarity with FIPS NIST CIS or similar frameworks
Experience with Secure Boot UEFI TPM
Proficiency in C/C Rust and/or Python
