Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to support a direct mail manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring machinery operates efficiently safely and with minimal downtime while contributing to cost reduction production goals and overall operational excellence.

The position focuses on maintaining troubleshooting and repairing various machines supporting production efficiency minimizing errors and ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues addressing machine stoppages promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct machine setups to support production operations.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to resolve daily maintenance issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and report major concerns or downtime.
  • Order install and replace parts as needed; perform lubrication and other preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in training technicians on troubleshooting methods and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure a clean organized and safe work environment in compliance with safety policies.
  • Report safety concerns incidents and near misses.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support team objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related role
  • Experience working with a variety of machinery and equipment

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and industrial environments (noisy/dirty conditions)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs regularly
