Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client a global technology provider that serves enterprises worldwide with mobile and web solutions across Europe North America Australia and Asia.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop backend solutions using modern web technologies for global enterprise clients.
• Write secure efficient well-structured and thoroughly documented code.
• Integrate APIs and data sources seamlessly with user-facing applications.
• Collaborate daily with international teams across London Frankfurt and Jakarta.
• Contribute to solution design by helping scope structure and implement client requirements.
• Conduct senior-level code reviews uphold engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
• Actively participate in internal knowledge-sharing and mentoring initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science IT Computer/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP (Laravel framework) and with modern JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals: HTML5 CSS AJAX.
• Extensive experience with the LAMP stack and Linux server administration; proficient in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Practical exposure to at least one major cloud platform (AWS Google Cloud or Azure).
• Demonstrated ability to perform senior-level code reviews and enforce code-quality standards.
• Experience in cross-browser and cross-platform development and testing.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within distributed teams.
• Solution-oriented mindset reliability and strong communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with GDPR / EU data-protection regulations (formal training provided).
• Exposure to IT security topics and secure-SDLC practices (in-house training available).
• Experience as a people-lead or tech-lead (welcome but not mandatory).
• Interest or background in UX design and front-end collaboration.
• Experience working across EU/Asia time zones or with regulated EU clients.
• Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers.
