The Schenectady Warehouse Materials Manager will lead an organization focused on the execution and continuous improvement of all warehouse operations for the Schenectady manufacturing facility. They will partner with manufacturing operations to provide effective material delivery and kitting solutions while sustaining excellence in material accuracy and ERP controls.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement and execute a strategy for the SCH warehouse to deliver on business goals and objectives
- Lead a team of warehouse personnel in warehouse operations demonstrating strong integration with manufacturing operations teams and cross functional stakeholders
- Ensure that standard warehouse processes and standard KPIs are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory cost
- Establish the use of key metrics in a metric hierarchy to ensure all warehouse-related activities are meeting expectations
- Drive a strong team focus on safety & quality and provide leadership and problem solving for continuous improvement in these areas
- Lead and monitor all the logistics activities such as incoming receipts days to stock inventory accuracy (cycle counts) shortages and outbound shipments
- Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for the warehouse
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college and 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- OR a High School Diploma/ GED and at least 5 years of experience in working in a manufacturing environment

- SAP (PMx) experience in a manufacturing environment
