Fastline is a 30-year established recruitment firm with a strong legacy in permanent hiring. We are now expanding into Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Contract Staffing and Recruiter-on-Demand (ROD) to build a scalable predictable workforce solutions business.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-performance entrepreneurial Freelance Business Development Manager (BDM) to acquire new clients across RPO Contract Staffing and Permanent Recruitment services.
This is a commission-driven role for the first 3 months with an opportunity to transition into a full-time salaried position based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition
Identify and acquire new clients across target industries (BFSI BPO E-commerce Startups Mid-market companies)
Generate leads through networking cold outreach referrals and market mapping
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
Sales & Conversion
Pitch Fastlines services:
RPO solutions
Contract staffing
Recruiter-on-Demand (ROD)
Permanent recruitment (niche/leadership/IT)
Understand client hiring challenges and propose customized solutions
Drive end-to-end sales cycle:
Discovery Proposal Negotiation Closure
Strategic Focus
Prioritize RPO and Contract Staffing deals over transactional hiring
Convert existing or new clients into long-term recurring revenue accounts
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services
Client Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with decision-makers (HR Heads Founders Business Leaders)
Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams post-closure
Maintain ongoing engagement for account expansion
Target Expectations (Monthly)
1-2 RPO deals (pilot or full-scale)
OR 8-10 contract staffing deployments
OR 10L permanent recruitment billing equivalent
Compensation Structure (Freelance Phase - First 3 Months)
RPO Deals
10% of first month retainer
5% recurring for up to 3 months
Contract Staffing
2000 - 5000 per deployment
Additional 2% on recurring margin (for initial 3 months)
Permanent Recruitment
10% of collected billing
Accelerator incentives on higher revenue slabs
Additional Incentives
Bonuses for:
RPO conversions
Multi-service deals
High-value accounts
Post 3-Month Conversion (Full-Time Role)
Based on performance:
Fixed salary incentives
Opportunity to grow into Account Manager / Sales Lead role
Eligibility Criteria
Preferred Background
Experience in B2B sales / recruitment / HR services / staffing industry
Strong network in at least one of the following:
BFSI / NBFC / IT / BPO
Mid-sized enterprises
Key Skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to sell high-value services (not just transactional deals)
Self-driven and target-oriented
Comfortable working in a performance-based environment
