Staff Accountant (Manufacturing & Inventory Exp. Req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their team East of Green Bay this role you will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on month-end close inventory accounting financial reporting and general ledger activity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with inventory and ERP systems along with a strong understanding of general accounting principles. To be successful you must be highly analytical detail-oriented and proficient in Excel. Staff Accountant (Manufacturing & Inventory Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

Execute month-end close including journal entries reconciliations accruals and financial reporting
Investigate and resolve discrepancies across accounts and financial records
Maintain accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions within the general ledger
Support inventory accounting including reconciliations variance analysis and standard cost
Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate transaction recording
Maintain fixed asset records including depreciation additions and disposals
Support year-end audit activities by preparing schedules and providing documentation
Maintain and update the chart of accounts to ensure proper classification of financial data
Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
Leverage Microsoft Excel and the company ERP system to manage and analyze financial data
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes systems and documentation

Staff Accountant (Manufacturing & Inventory Exp. Req.) Qualifications

Bachelors degree is required
2 years of accounting experience including manufacturing and inventory is required
Experience with month-end close journal entries reconciliations and accruals are required
Strong analysis and Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables are required
Experience with ERP systems is required
Ability to work 100% on-site is required
