Job Summary

A growing general contractor is looking for an Estimatorwho can take the lead on bidding and preconstruction for a wide range of projects.
What Youll Be Doing

Prepare accurate cost estimatesfor commercial state and federal projects
Review plans specs and bid documentsto define scope and pricing
Develop material labor and equipment estimates
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor bids
Lead scope development and bid levelingto ensure full coverage
Collaborate with PMs and leadership on preconstruction strategy
Track multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Support value engineeringand cost-saving initiatives
Assist with project handoffto operations after award

What Theyre Looking For

5 yearsof estimating experience (commercial and/or government projects)
Strong understanding of all construction divisions
Ability to build scopes interpret drawings and develop full estimates
Experience with design-build projects
Comfortable working independently in a small team environment

Bonus Points:

Engineering background
Experience with Sage Timberline Primavera or Bluebeam
