Whats the role

Youll join Westpacs Mortgage Credit Risk team where youll help shape how we manage and optimise our mortgage portfolio across the Group.

In this role of Senior Risk Analyst youll use data analysis and insight to understand portfolio performance customer behaviour and housing market trends. Youll help translate that insight into practical recommendations that support our risk appetite improve customer outcomes and drive better decisionmaking.

Youll also play a key role in building and enhancing reporting and visualisations that clearly communicate insights to senior leaders. Working closely with credit risk analytics and business teams youll contribute to policies and portfolio strategies that balance performance risk and customer experience.

This is a fulltime permanent role based in Sydney.

What do I need

You dont need to tick every box what matters is your curiosity analytical thinking and ability to turn data into insight.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a datadriven mindset
Experience extracting manipulating and analysing data
Ability to develop reporting dashboards or visualisations that highlight trends
Experience using tools such as SQL SAS Excel or similar analytics platforms
Confidence partnering with stakeholders and explaining insights in plain language
