Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:00)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a mixed acuity PCU/Stepdown/Med-Surg Tele unit. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population including surgical trauma and medical overflow cases. Candidates must have recent PCU/IMC experience and be comfortable handling high-acuity patients in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in PCU/Stepdown and MS/Tele units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage cardiac drips insulin drips and heparin protocols
• Perform central line PICC line and IV therapy management
• Administer blood products and medications
• Manage respiratory support including CPAP/BIPAP and HFNC
• Provide wound care and manage surgical drains and chest tubes
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to sister units (West 2 West 3 Observation) as required

• Unit: Mixed Acuity PCU / MS Tele
• Patient Ratio:
  • Days: 1:35
  • Nights: 1:36
• Patient Population: Adult (rare pediatric cases)
• Cases: Post-MI CVA trauma surgical patients (ENT ortho general surgery) renal failure respiratory conditions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (NY or Compact if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year recent PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience (within last 3 years)
• Experience with MS/Tele and high-acuity patients
• Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS (Required)
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and critical care procedures
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius
