Job Summary
The City of Topekas Utilities department is seeking a customer-focused detail-oriented individual to serve as a Meter Services Dispatch professional. This position performs full range of standard and nonstandard assignments related to utility billing administrative support and field employees dispatching.
What youll do:
- Answer section phone calls and take appropriate action as required.
- Responds to 2-way radio calls and assigns orders as needed.
- Performs clerical duties associated with purchasing.
- Generates collects and processes data and maintains office records.
The ideal candidate:
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Is highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Can work with a variety of external and internal customers.
Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent required; a bachelors degree or some college-level education from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- One (1) year of clerical experience is required.
- Three (3) years of water industry field experience preferred.
Entry Rate of Pay: $16.61 - $16.94 per hour DOQ.
