Job Summary

The Senior HR Generalist will recommend plan implement and coordinate a wide variety of Human Resource programs and policies in accordance with legal and company guidelines. Provides support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment personnel records employee and/or labor relations job evaluation compensation management benefits administration organization development training and special projects.  Act as the trusted advisor to the Director of Personnel & Communications often overseeing multi-shift personnel needs. Ensure a positive compliant work culture.

  • Employee Relations & Culture: Lead Investigations resolve conflicts coach managers on performance management & implement positive culture/appreciation programs.
  • HR Operations: Administer employee benefits manage payroll time/attendance systems & manage documentation using HRIS platforms.
  • Labor Relations: Assist with the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and grievance processing.
  • Assist in coordinating the recruitment process for open hourly or salary positions
  • Assist in conducting orientation and onboarding processes
  • Thoroughly understand and accurately disseminate information on benefits programs/offerings
  • Report writing collecting and analyzing information; identifying trends; recommending courses of action
  • Handle and document day-to-day employee relations issues
  • Become SME regarding plant policies and procedures
  • Work in a safe manner and perform other duties as assigned within HR function.

Qualifications :

Minimum educational requirements listed below may be substituted by relevant experience learned competencies and/or certifications obtained throughout ones career.

  • 5 years of Human Resources or similar experience. Preferably this experience will be in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors degree preferably in Human Resources Business or a similar field or 6 years of Human Resources work experience

  • Ability to work with various IT systems/applications including Plex Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Treat employee data with extreme confidentiality
  • Training ability to share information with others
  • Data Analysis and attention to detail

Additional Information :

Work Environment/Physical requirements

  • Some occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Must wear appropriate PPE in production areas

Protective Clothing Required

  • Business casual work environment.  No special clothing required for office work.
