MEDICAL ASSISTANT
The Medical Assistant assists clinic nurses and providers by preparing patients for office visits including visit preparation and patient intake. The Medical Assistant helps to maintain accurate and thorough Electronic Medical addition the Medical Assistant ensures patient safety through maintaining vigilance with Infection Prevention procedures (i.e. cleaning hand-washing etc.). The Medical Assistant maintains an organized professional work area and ensures patient confidentiality at all times. The Medical Assistant works as a member of a team of professionals to deliver safe high quality healthcare services to our patients with a personal commitment to continuous improvement.
Pay Rate: $18.16 - $19.57
You may apply online at Education Training and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- 12 years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient or primary care setting preferred
- BLS certification within 6 months of hire
- Full-time non-exempt in-person position
- Schedule: MondayThursday four 10-hour shifts
- Occasional schedule adjustments as needed
- Minimal travel required
Working conditions
- Fast-paced outpatient clinical environment
- Frequent patient and staff interaction
- Requires adaptability multitasking and professionalism
Physical requirements
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
