Position Overview
The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional assessment education treatment planning and ongoing dietary management for patients across a variety of clinical settings. This individual will play an important role in supporting patient recovery rehabilitation and overall wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients nutritional status medical conditions and dietary needs
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments and clinical goals
- Provide nutritional counseling and education to patients and families
- Monitor and evaluate nutritional intake tolerance and outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Calculate nutritional requirements and assist with specialized diet planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Participate in patient rehabilitation and wellness initiatives through evidence-based nutritional interventions
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or a related field approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA)
- Completion of a CADE-accredited supervised practice program
- Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the ADA
- Current Nevada Dietitian license required
- Specialty certifications such as CDE CNSD CSP or CDR preferred
- Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach to care
