Roles and Responsibilities
Work together with business leadership to drive outcomes
Initiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into operations
Performs site training maintaining EHS records implementing and updating site procedures and utilizing software systems (GEV Learning)
Provides input to Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Leader and/or site management on EHS issues.
Anticipate recognize evaluate and control workplace health hazards
Assist with incident / accident investigations and analyze root causes to determine and implement safety measures which prevent future incidents
Drive closure of corrective actions based on root-cause investigations
Review approve and conduct risk assessments. Including assisting in the coordination of risk reduction projects
Executes factory internal and external EHS requirements
Coordinate with consultants and contractors / vendors on EHS-related items
Communicate & ensure the EHS requirements with internal employees to complete various tasks.
Work cross-functionally to identify and address safety and health issues related to site operations
Develops and maintain site EHS procedures
Lead site risk reduction initiatives including driving operational Risk Identification and Strength of Defense ownership
Lead and facilitate the various EHS events to ensure the employee engagement initiatives and to reward and recognize the best practices
EHS Technical (task focused) ownership & responsibilities:
Implement and perform the EHS Framework program based on the Risk Applicablity Screening to ensure safe work environment and GEV EHS Standards
Lead and operationalize the GEV Life Saving Rules against the task specific requirements through continuous training and awareness program
Align and perform the EHS Governance program 3-year audit program cycle at PCS Vallam campus
o ISO 14001 & 45001 Certification audit
o EHS Compliance audit
o EHS Framework audit
Facilitate the GEV Corporate EHS Governance Program and support the EHS Framework / Cross-Business Audits across globally in GEV facilities to support the facilities
Lead and manage the successful execution / completion of Transfer of Work (TOW) projects and associated EHS related readiness at Vallam and across global projects aligning with business timelines and objectives
Responsible for securing the ISO 14001 & 45001 Certification program and retain the certifications by performing external audit program annually
Lead the EHS Digitalization programs and leverage the use of various digital tools on routine EHS data management and validation

Responsible to consolidate the EHS performance data and present it to business Leaders through MORs regular basis
Facilitate and lead the EHS and Sustainability Kaizens programs aligning with GEV and local events expectations
Required Qualifications
- For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- For roles in USA - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
