Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY
Reports directly to the Dean Student Success.

Assists the Dean and college President in coordinating all facets of the colleges Student Engagement and Success.

Provides leadership in the planning implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive Student Support Services program designed to enhance the student experience at the College.

Provides leadership and oversight to College Orientation Programs Advising Counseling Career and Transfer Services Internship Job Placement Services and Student Life.

Provide strong educational social and leadership development oriented co-curricular programs and activities to enhance student learning.

Maintains a visible presence on campus and is actively engaged in creating and developing Student Life events.

Supports the development and maintenance of student-driven clubs and organizations and advocates on behalf of student leaders and clubs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide leadership and oversight for Advisement Counseling Career and Transfer Services Internship and Job Placement Student Life Recreational Sports Judicial Affairs and New Student Orientation.

Build partnerships with Academic Affairs the Centers of Excellence Workforce Development and community-based organizations to develop organize and implement strategies to promote student retention and success.

Develop in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research assessment tools that keep track of students progress and engagement in the Student Support Services areas.

Promote the ultimate student experience by establishing strategies and benchmarks to increase persistence retention and academic success; this includes developing quantitative and qualitative metrics to assess student success strategies.

Supervise the management of administrative processes including budget preparation and oversight payroll personnel and purchasing.

Also monitor the operational budgets in the various departments assigned to this position to ensure efficient and effective fiscal management of College funds.

Perform other duties tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • Masters degree in Counseling Higher Education Administration or related field is required
  • 5 years related administrative experience with supervisory responsibilities required preferably in a related position in an institution of higher education; including experience in academic advisement as well as developing and implementing student success strategies that address the needs of a diverse student population
Licensing & Certification

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
