Our Lab IT and Research Systems teams enable scientific discovery across the Flagship ecosystem through reliable scalable and secure technology solutions that support scientists at the bench and in silico. We collaborate closely with our research teams to ensure their tools systems and environments are optimized for productivity reproducibility and innovation.

Position Summary:

TheIT Infrastructure Operations& Architecture(ITIO&A)teamis responsible forIT Infrastructurefrom network port to cloud and the devices in between.The ITIO&Ateam is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator whoisable tobridge betweenhelp deskservicesand technicalsubject matter experts in Cloud Network and M365.The ITIO Systems Administrator will be the subject matter expert in allthingsendpointmanagement.Duties range from helpdesk escalation support toautomation and engineering designed to improve service delivery.This role is intended tointerface withall the domains ITIOis responsible forincluding Scientific Cloud Networking M365 and Identity and Access Management.

What Youll Do:

• Providetier 3technicalescalationsupport toFlagship Pioneering Help Deskforend user support

• Develop grow and enhanceendpoint engineering capabilities and automation.

• Reviewand onboard new applications into Identity and Access Management

• Performonsite support inserverclosetsincludingracking andunrackingequipment

• Travel to Flagship offices in the greater Boston area remote offices and occasionally internationally may berequired.

• Occasional on-call or after-hourssupport.

What Were Looking For:

• At least5 years in IT and a minimum 2 years in house systemsadministration

• Experience working withInternal ITbusiness stakeholders toidentifyand document infrastructure requirements and problems.

• Strongunderstanding ofWindows11 and Windows Server

• Strongunderstanding ofMicrosoftIntuneforuserand deviceadministration

• Intermediate understanding with scripting and automation using at least one technology includingPowershell TerraformBash Pythonor an equivalent language

• Intermediate understanding of Identity and Access Managementtechnologies includingEntraID SAML SCIM Windows NTFSpermissionmanagement.

• Familiar with working in on-prem IT environments (server rooms network closets and IDFs).

• Basic understanding of networkingfundamentals including LAN WAN DNS and VPN

• Basic understanding ofat least onecloudtechnologyincludingAWS Azure or GCP

Nice to Have:

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology business or related field of studyor 5equivalent years of experience

• Certifications applicable to network/ infrastructure/ cloud operations area preferred

• Experience with MacOS & JAMF a plus

• Experience dealing with compliance-related regulations (e.g. PCI HIPAA GDPR) preferred

• Basic understanding ofinformationsecurity preferred

• Experience in an enterprise or similar environment thatoperatesor supports across multiple separate business units or functions preferred

• Experience withLinuxa plus

• Ability to rack mount and cable equipment in standard 19 server racks.

• Ability to work in environments with moderate to high noise levels (e.g. cooling systems).

• Ability to work in hot or cold environments typical of server rooms and data centers.

• Ability to respond to after-hourssupport calls and perform on-site emergency work as needed.

The salary range for this role is $76000 - $104500. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors including a candidates qualifications skills competencies and experience. Flagship Pioneering currently offers healthcare coverage annual incentive program retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
