Job Summary

Position Summary: The Summer Migrant Recruiter serves as the program recruiter social services and parent involvement aid child/family advocate and primary liaison between families the school and other service agencies. The Recruiter works with the program coordinator to meet program goals. The Recruiter works within the guidelines of the Migrant Education Program Performance Standards.

Identifies recruits and enrolls eligible children/families in migrant program services; documents all outreach efforts; provides information to families about various program services; connects families to various public and private community services; follows-up on family-agency referrals to make sure families successfully accessed services; identifies and proposes changes in services to meet student and family needs; collaborate directly with the regional recruiters from MN to coordinate recruitment efforts at centers with migrant and seasonal programs; participate in required in-service meetings and attend workshops/seminars.

Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two-year degree preferred. Must be proficient in world language preferably Spanish. Prior experience in migrant population outreach work with an established migrant service agency is preferred. Familiar with community resources. Experience working with Google platform.

    • At MDE: May 13 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at MDE
    • At OMS: June 29 - July 1 2026
  • Student Contact Dates: July 6 - August 6 2026
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Rate of Pay:
B-2-3 // $20.96-$25.04 depending on experience
