The Department & Academic Standard

Core Responsibilities

1. Exemplary Instruction: Teaching Business Studies across GCSE and A-Level (AQA/Edexcel) ensuring students master core concepts from marketing and HR to operations and finance.

2. Financial Literacy: Training students in the quantitative aspects of business including break-even analysis cash flow forecasting and the interpretation of balance sheets and income statements.

3. Strategic Analysis: Guiding A-Level students through advanced decision-making models such as SWOT analysis Ansoffs Matrix and Porters Five Forces.

4. Data-Driven Progress: Utilizing the schools sophisticated tracking systems to provide granular feedback ensuring students are equipped to meet the high-level evaluative demands of the exam.

5. Enterprise Leadership: Coordinating extracurricular initiatives such as the Young Enterprise scheme to give students practical experience in running their own business ventures.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject specialist who can make the world of commerce tangible and exciting. Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS and a strong honours degree in Business Management or a related discipline.

• Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering exceptional learning outcomes at GCSE and A-Level with a deep understanding of current specification requirements.
