JOB TITLE: Embedded Software Engineer
LOCATION: Owego NY
PAY RATE: $30-90/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Develop embedded software including device drivers bootloaders and built-in-test (BIT) libraries

• Design code test and debug software for real-time systems (RTOS) environments

• Develop in C targeting LynxOS / LynxElement RTOS

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software FPGA and hardware interfaces

• Integrate custom hardware and FPGA with software in lab environments

• Support system integration testing and performance validation

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and system issues

• Develop and maintain technical documentation

• Participate in certification activities (requirements reviews code reviews compliance)

• Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards processes and tools

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field

• Experience in embedded software development

• Proficiency in C programming

• Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS)

• Experience with low-level software (drivers bootloaders hardware interfaces)

• Ability to work in a lab environment with hardware integration

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle testing and debugging

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
