Fiber Splicing Technician / Fiber Tech I Location: Downtown Nashville TN Start Date: First Week of June Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Ribbon Fiber Splicing Technicians and reliable Fiber Tech I support technicians for a large-scale fiber project in downtown Nashville beginning the first week of June.
This project will focus heavily on high-volume ribbon fiber splicing including straight-through splicing and cassette/pigtail terminations. The team will support approximately 720 fiber runs and over 160000 splices so candidates must be able to maintain quality work while keeping pace in a production-driven environment.
Most work will involve lift operations while pulling fiber so safety and reliability are critical.
Fiber Splicing Technician Responsibilities
Perform ribbon fiber splicing in a high-volume environment
Complete straight-through splicing
Perform cassette and pigtail terminations
Maintain consistent production and quality standards
Read and follow project scope and fiber assignments
Work safely while operating from lifts and supporting pulling activities
Fiber Tech I Responsibilities
Assist splicing crews with fiber pulling and job site support
Support lift operations and material handling
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety protocols and site requirements
Arrive prepared with basic tools and PPE
Required Qualifications
All technicians must have:
OSHA Certification
Lift Certification
CPR Certification
