The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with industrial machinery and will be comfortable performing both preventive and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. Experience with Multivac thermoforming thermosealing or similar food-packaging equipment is highly preferred.
Responsibilities- Assist with the assembly installation commissioning and start-up of new production lines and machinery.
- Participate in equipment setup testing adjustment and preparation for production use.
- Inspect food-processing and production equipment to identify mechanical or operational issues.
- Diagnose and repair machinery failures to minimize production downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Complete corrective maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
- Maintain and service Multivac thermoforming thermosealing and related processing equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs replacements or improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records service reports and equipment documentation.
- Use Microsoft Office or related software to complete work orders and track maintenance activities.
- Follow company safety procedures sanitation standards and equipment maintenance practices.
- Coordinate with production staff supervisors and other departments to support efficient plant operations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Previous hands-on experience maintaining repairing installing or troubleshooting industrial machinery.
- Experience with food-processing packaging thermoforming thermosealing or Multivac equipment is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required when equivalent machinery experience is available.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment or the ability to quickly learn company-specific machinery and facility systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software used for maintenance records and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Willingness to be on call as required.
- Regular second shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- Initial training schedule: 12:00 PM 8:00 PM
- On-call availability is required.
