Job Summary

The Lipscomb Anesthesiologist Assistant Studies Program is a 28-month Masters degree program dedicated to training Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants. This dynamic program is working toward initial accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in the daily operations and strategic development of the Anesthesiologist Assistant Studies Program. This position supports the Program Director in all aspects of program administration from student recruitment through graduation while helping to achieve and maintain CAAHEP accreditation. The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and committed to supporting student success in a rigorous healthcare education environment.

Key Responsibilities

Student Services and Support

  • Assist students throughout their entire program journey from initial interviews through graduation
  • Coordinate student onboarding orientation and ongoing support services
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries and concerns of enrolled students
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation

Accreditation and Compliance

  • Support the Program Director in achieving initial CAAHEP accreditation
  • Assist in maintaining ongoing accreditation standards and compliance requirements
  • Prepare and organize documentation for accreditation reviews and site visits
  • Track and report program outcomes and metrics

Academic and Clinical Coordinator

  • Assist the Program Director in managing academic scheduling for the 28-month program curriculum
  • Assist in the coordination of clinical rotation schedules with healthcare facilities and preceptors
  • Oversee program facilities and resources to ensure optimal learning environments
  • Assist in documentation collection tracking and site specific requirements for clinical placements including BLS health records drug screens and background checks
  • Assist in the collection and review of preceptor evaluations for completeness accuracy and corrections
  • Aggregate evaluation data & rotation grades based on rubrics and established policies for grade reports

Event Planning and Execution

  • Coordinate logistics for program-related meetings and special events
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Director and Graduate Enrollment Counselor to plan and execute program events including recruitment initiatives open houses orientations and graduation ceremonies
  • Manage event budgets and vendor relationships

Faculty and Staff Support

  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for additional faculty and staff
  • Support faculty with administrative needs and resource coordination
  • Facilitate communication between program leadership faculty and students

Administrative Operations

  • Manage program facilities and ensure adequate resources are available
  • Update program website content and communications
  • Prepare reports presentations and correspondence as needed
  • Navigate university systems and processes effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or higher *or* 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a relevant setting (healthcare higher education program administration or related field)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and navigate university systems with training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Commitment to student success and educational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare education or graduate program administration
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards
  • Experience with student information systems
  • Event planning and coordination experience
  • Familiarity with clinical education and rotation management

Work Environment

  • In-person position located at a Lipscomb satellite campus in downtown Nashville
  • Standard business hours with occasional evening or weekend hours for special events
  • Collaborative team environment working closely with Program Director and Graduate Enrollment Counselor
  • Fast-paced academic setting with seasonal fluctuations in workload
