Job Summary

Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group is seeking a PMG Media Billing Analyst to serve as a dedicated finance partner for the broader media organization. This position will liaise between performance media (PMG) media strategy (across Theatrical/Home Entertainment) and adjacent operations stakeholders to ensure timely reconciliation financial close and contract compliance across a variety of media partners and vendors. Successful candidates will be organized strategic thinkers and proactive problem solvers who are passionate about learning and development.

Responsibilities:

PMG SUPPORT

  • Support the VP to coordinate billing operations across the various Sony Business Units (SPE SPHE SPT Crunchyroll etc.).

  • Collect and document invoices across Sony Business Units from various media platforms and partners (Meta Google Amazon Trade Desk etc.).

  • Reconcile collected invoices with media budgets on selected titles across Sony Business Units.

  • Collect and tabulate credits from media platforms.

  • Work closely with finance operations such accounts payable to ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner.

  • Manage open PO reporting PO updates account funding and late-payment follow-up.

  • Monitor contracted vendor commitments (spend thresholds volume discounts rebate tiers etc.).

  • Execute quarterly reviews of platform and vendor tools ahead of renewals to inform cleaner contract decisions.

  • Build and maintain finance and pacing dashboards; help to standardize templates.

MEDIA OPERATIONS FLOWCHART/INVOICING SUPPORT

  • Help QA internal budgets platform (Spent and Committed) when building out new elements/campaign phases in test environments.

  • Assist the media managers to pull PO numbers inclusive of all billing categories (Broadcast Digital Fees etc.) to help facilitate invoice processing and reconciliation.

  • Track campaign budget changes; help manage internal budget charts.

  • Issue weekly budget tracking documents to multiple business teams (SPHE/SPT) and facilitate end-of-month budget projections.

  • Cross-reference billing reports from the media agency and troubleshoot potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or business

  • Excels at learning and figuring out new/bespoke systems

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in finance/accounting including 2 years of supervisory experience required

  • Experience with Media Billing and Performance Media Platforms (Meta Google Snapchat TikTok Trade Desk etc.)

  • Proficient in MS Excel PowerPoint and Word.

  • Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to bring projects to timely completion with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to develop establish and improve internal financial policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills especially with non-Finance individuals.

  • Strong organizational and PC skills.

  • Passionate about new media and its market development is a plus but not required.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $34.65/hour to $45.04/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including without limitation the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and if applicable the location of the position.
