WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Neural Nexus team at Amgen is helping accelerate an AI-driven transformation across the business. Within Neural Nexus AI Data Enablement (AuRA) is focused on building scalable governed AI-ready data foundations and data products that power commercial analytics and AI use cases across Amgen.
In this vital role you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of AI-enabled data foundations and data products supporting the build operationalization and management of scalable and reusable data solutions. You will own assigned workstreams end-to-end ensuring solutions are implemented on time meet quality standards and drive measurable business value.
You as our Data & AI Enablement Manager (AuRA) will partner cross-functionally with Global Customer Capability and Innovation Technology and Engineering teams to deliver trusted and reusable data assets aligned to business priorities. You will also support data stewardship governance and FAIR-aligned data practices to enable consistent reusable and business-ready data across AuRA.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead execution of AuRA data enablement workstreams from intake design and development through deployment and operationalization.
- Deliver AI-enabled data products and pipelines that support commercial analytics and downstream applications.
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time within scope and aligned to business requirements.
- Coordinate readiness activities including user acceptance testing access provisioning documentation and production handoff.
- Implement and scale AI-ready data foundations within AuRA integrating structured and unstructured data sources.
- Build and manage reliable scalable data pipelines with appropriate monitoring logging and versioning.
- Support the development of reusable capabilities including data models curated data layers metadata tagging and taxonomy frameworks and data discoverability and access enablement.
- Enforce data governance practices including data ownership and stewardship data lineage and traceability and role-based access controls.
- Ensure adherence to FAIR principles and Clean Core alignment and support data quality processes including quality control master data management and affiliation.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams including scope timelines risks dependencies and delivery health.
- Partner with Commercial CD&A Analytics Technology and Engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and maintain execution alignment.
- Support onboarding activities including training sessions documentation data product guides and working sessions with end users to enable adoption and value realization.
- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders and contribute to repeatable scalable delivery frameworks for continuous improvement.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
Our ideal candidate is a structured team player with strong execution focus. He/she is problem solving result oriented and has time process and stakeholder management skills.
Proven experience and skills needed:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Pharma/Biotech AI/ML data science or computer science.
- OR Masters degree and 5 years of data science computer science analytics engineering or related field experience.
- OR Bachelors degree and 7 years of data science computer science analytics engineering or related field experience.
- Strong experience in data platform implementation and data enablement delivery.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines (ETL/ELT) data modeling and data integration.
- Understanding of data governance MDM affiliation and data quality frameworks.
- Understanding of AI/ML data requirements and data readiness.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake Databricks Airflow and cloud environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and complex dependencies.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Fluency in English both in written and oral communication.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working with commercial pharma datasets including CRM claims HCP/HCO and patient data.
- Strong program management and execution skills.
- Experience supporting governed scalable AI-ready data products and reusable data assets.
- Ability to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clarity in requirements and execution.
- Experience supporting onboarding documentation and adoption of data products.
- Ability to identify and proactively mitigate delivery risks and bottlenecks.
- Comfortable working across cross-functional teams in a fast-evolving environment.
- Demonstrates a service-minded attitude.
