Location: Atlanta GA 30303
Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 4x10 Hours (6:45 AM 5:15 PM)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a short-term contract assignment in a high-acuity fast-paced surgical environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong clinical expertise in cardiovascular and endovascular procedures and prior experience working in large Level 1 trauma centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room during complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and endovascular operations ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
- Monitor patient status before during and after surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms instruments and equipment for CVOR cases
- Collaborate with surgical teams including physicians anesthesiologists and surgical technologists
- Respond to emergency situations with critical thinking and efficiency
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of Georgia or Compact License)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience
- Prior travel nursing experience in a large Level 1 trauma facility (must be clearly reflected in work history)
- Strong experience in cardiovascular and endovascular procedures
- High competency ratings across all clinical skills
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
