Job Summary
We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team. The role will be at our production facility in Bishopstoke and involve the following -
- Working to the site Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
- Diagnosing fault finding and repair of medium/heavy industrial plant and machinery.
- Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
- Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability and efficiency of plant and machinery.
Qualifications/Experience in the following
- Time served qualified industrial maintenance mechanical fitter/technician
- BTEC NVQ or equivalent qualification in mechanical maintenance
- Hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding
- Maintenance of rotating machinery
- Machining and welding experience would be advantageous

- Self-starter proactive prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Work well under pressure.

Location details
This role is based in our offices near the Eastleigh town centre. The address is Prysmian Cables & Systems Limited Chickenhall Lane Eastleigh SO50 6YU. There are good transport links to Eastleigh and the site is approximately 15 minutes walk from the railway station.
