Overview
EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading UK logistics and multi-modal
transport operator that is currently looking to recruit experienced Mechanical Fitters (HGV
Technicians) across its Scottish operations.
Operating one of the UK's largest integrated road and rail logistics networks our client has built
a reputation for operational excellence technical expertise and continuous investment in both
its fleet and engineering infrastructure. With sites across Scotland and England they provide a

Responsibilities:
Due to continued growth and ongoing investment across their engineering operations our client
is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support the maintenance and repair of a varied
commercial fleet and associated equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on commercial vehicles
Complete servicing maintenance and repair work across the fleet
Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Work on air brake systems including ABS and EBS
Conduct engine and driveline repairs and overhauls
Install and repair electrical wiring and vehicle systems
Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
Perform preventative maintenance activities
Support wider engineering operations when required
Ensure all work complies with health safety and company standards
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Time-served HGV Technician Commercial Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Fitter
background
City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
Knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics and air brake systems
Ability to work independently and within a shift team environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
