Job Summary

Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton New Jersey an independent Catholic diverse all-girls preschool to 12th grade Sacred Heart School with a mission to educate the whole child and inspire young women to lead lives of exceptional leadership and service is searching for a Second Grade Homeroom Teacher.

The ideal candidate has expertise in their field an advanced degree a passion for curricular innovation a proven ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting and a strong belief in all-girls education. The school seeks candidates who can:

Create a joyful inclusive classroom/work environment that promotes the mission and Goals of Stuart.

Design plan and implement daily math reading writing and social studies lessons consistent with inclusive practices.

Assess and monitor individual student growth and promote social emission success.

Work collaboratively with curriculum leaders specialists and support staff.

Use multicultural teaching/leadership methods materials and resources that reflect multiple perspectives.

Partner with parents/guardians to communicate student performance and growth in writing and in person.

Show ability to confidently address behavioral issues and other challenges that may arrive in the classroom in order to maintain a safe learning environment that invites belonging and developmentally appropriate routines and practices.

Participate in school-wide divisional and grade level meetings.

Take part in shared responsibilities and duties across the school day and week.

Engage in professional development opportunities to further develop inclusive teaching and leadership practices.



Skills & Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education or a related field and experience teaching at the mid to upper level of elementary is preferred.

Experience at an all-girls school or faith-based school are a plus.

A strong commitment to mission belonging and inclusive pedagogy

A love and respect for children.

Reliable collaborative nature and eagerness to contribute to close-knit teaching teams.

All experience levels including early and change of career candidates are encouraged to apply

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the Sacred Heart. Successful candidates will be collaborative innovative and student-centered.

The hiring range for this position is $52104 to $102682. Compensation offered will be based upon a candidates education years of experience skill set and internal equity.
