Job Summary

K-12 Media Specialist for Nash County Public Schools in Nash County NC

A K-12 Media Specialist manages the school library and supports students and teachers in developing strong reading research and digital literacy skills. This role involves curating and maintaining age-appropriate print and digital collections teaching K-12 students how to locate evaluate and use information responsibly and collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate literacy and technology into the curriculum. The K-12 Media Specialist also fosters a love of reading provides instruction on safe and effective technology use supports instructional technology needs and helps create an inclusive welcoming learning environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.

Masters Degree or Higher or Foreign Equivalent in Library Science or a related field

Passing score on Praxis School Librarian (5312) test
