Job Summary

We are seeking a relationship-driven and detail-oriented Donor Relations Specialist to enhance donor engagement retention and overall giving this role you will serve as a key liaison between the organization and its donors ensuring consistent communication transparency and stewardship. This is a fully remote position ideal for a professional who is passionate about nonprofit impact and excels at building meaningful long-term relationships.

What Youll Do
  1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual donors sponsors and partners
  2. Manage donor communications including acknowledgments updates newsletters and impact reports
  3. Support fundraising campaigns outreach initiatives and donor engagement strategies
  4. Track donor contributions interactions and engagement metrics using CRM systems
  5. Ensure timely and accurate processing of donor acknowledgments and recognition efforts
  6. Collaborate with fundraising marketing and leadership teams to align messaging and outreach
  7. Assist in planning and coordinating donor events virtual engagements and campaigns
  8. Analyze donor data to identify trends and improve retention and engagement strategies
  9. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and data protection standards
What Were Looking For
  1. 25 years of experience in donor relations fundraising customer success or client relations
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  4. Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce Blackbaud DonorPerfect)
  5. High level of organization and attention to detail
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
  7. A passion for mission-driven work and community impact
Nice to Have
  1. Experience supporting major gifts or donor stewardship programs
  2. Familiarity with fundraising platforms and digital donation tools
  3. Background in event planning or donor engagement campaigns
  4. Knowledge of donor analytics and reporting tools
  5. Bachelors degree in Communications Nonprofit Management or a related field
