Location: Atlanta GA
Facility Type: Large Acute Care / Level 1 Trauma Hospital
Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule
- Shift: Day Shift
- Hours: 6:45 AM 5:15 PM
- Shift Length: 10 Hours
- Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
- Days per Week: 4
- Additional Requirements: On-call rotation weekends and holidays as needed
Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. This role requires strong experience in cardiovascular and endovascular surgical procedures within a high-acuity fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and endovascular procedures
- Monitor patients before during and after surgical interventions
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
- Prepare operating rooms instruments and surgical equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams for optimal outcomes
- Respond effectively in urgent and emergency situations
- Accurately document all patient care activities and procedures
- Participate in on-call weekend and holiday coverage as required
- Ensure delivery of high-quality care in a Level 1 Trauma setting
Required Qualifications
- Recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience required
- Experience in a large high-acuity hospital or Level 1 Trauma setting
- Strong background in cardiovascular and endovascular procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Additional certifications may be required based on facility guidelines
