Objective

The Supervisor Healthcare is responsible for the daily coordination and supervision of Healthcare AIR warehouse operations (pharma & medtech) ensuring efficient compliant and customer-focused processes.

This role combines hands-on operational control with team leadership and quality oversight acting as a key link between the warehouse team office team and management.

Main responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound Healthcare flows (pharma & medtech)
  • Supervise picking packing handling and dispatch activities
  • Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive shipments (active & passive)
  • Monitor operational planning and priorities
  • React promptly to operational issues and deviations
  • Provide hands-on support on the warehouse floor when required
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the warehouse

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Supervise and guide warehouse operators on a daily basis
  • Allocate tasks and monitor team performance
  • Coach and support team members in their daily activities
  • Support onboarding and on-the-job training of new employees
  • Identify performance issues and escalate where required
  • Promote a structured safe and collaborative working environment
  • Adjust work schedules dynamically to meet fluctuating workloads

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GDP guidelines and internal procedures
  • Guarantee correct execution of temperature control and handling processes
  • Identify report and follow up deviations
  • Support CAPA implementation and follow-up
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Contribute to the drafting review and update of SOPs and work instructions
  • Ensure SOPs and work instructions are correctly applied on the floor

Operational Control & KPI Follow-up

  • Monitor daily operational KPIs (productivity quality service levels)
  • Report operational performance and issues to Management
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and deviations
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to process improvements within the warehouse
  • Support the implementation of operational changes and new processes
  • Provide input on improving efficiency quality and workflow organization

Stakeholder & Communication

  • Maintain daily communication with internal stakeholders (operations customer service QA etc.)
  • Support customer communication where required
  • Act as first point of escalation for operational issues on the floor
  • Ensure clear and structured communication within the team

Experience and Knowledge

  • Required experience of 3 to 5 years in Healthcare Warehouse Operations and/or Transportation Operations (Air Road).
  • Familiar with building up Healthcare operational processes (WH & Transportation).
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and GDP guidelines.
  • Operation experience with temperature-controlled shipments.
  • Able to write relevant SOPs internally and with the customer.
  • Familiar with different logistics concepts practices and procedures.
  • Training or experience in lean management or project management is an asset.
  • Knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience with TMS of WMS.
  • Knowledge of administrative and logistics processes.
  • Professional terminology in 2 foreign languages (ENG & NL) for contact with customers customs and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to organize prepare and assemble documents or reports containing data from several sources.
