For this role they are seeking an experienced auditor with strong nonprofit/governmental experience and Form 990 knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform financial statement and single-audit engagements for nonprofit/government clients.
- Supervise staff review workpapers and ensure GAAP/GAAS compliance.
- Knowledge of Form 990s and advise on nonprofit compliance.
- Communicate with clients and support engagement budgeting/scheduling.
Qualifications:
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing
- 5 years public accounting experience (nonprofit/government experience preferred).
- Experience with Form 990 and single-audit requirements.
- Strong supervisory communication and client-facing skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across upstate NY.
