Schedule: Day Shift MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced GI / Endoscopy Technician for a short-term travel assignment in Bronxville NY. The ideal candidate will support gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures by ensuring proper equipment preparation sterilization and procedural assistance in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nursing staff during GI and endoscopic procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and operational
• Clean disinfect and sterilize endoscopy equipment in compliance with established protocols
• Handle and process instruments following infection control and safety standards
• Transport patients to and from procedure areas as needed
• Monitor maintain and restock supplies to support efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage and sterilization logs
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials
• Support patient care by preparing patients and providing basic procedural instructions
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
• Adhere to all hospital policies regulatory requirements and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician program (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a GI Technician Endoscopy Technician GI Assistant or OR Technician in a hospital setting (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices (required)
• Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and reprocessing procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
