Duration: 8 Weeks (59-Day Assignment)
Schedule: Day Shift MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8s)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced GI / Endoscopy Technician for a short-term travel assignment in Bronxville NY. The ideal candidate will support gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures by ensuring proper equipment preparation sterilization and procedural assistance in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during GI and endoscopic procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and operational
- Clean disinfect and sterilize endoscopy equipment in compliance with established protocols
- Handle and process instruments following infection control and safety standards
- Transport patients to and from procedure areas as needed
- Monitor maintain and restock supplies to support efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage and sterilization logs
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials
- Support patient care by preparing patients and providing basic procedural instructions
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- Adhere to all hospital policies regulatory requirements and infection control guidelines
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician program (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a GI Technician Endoscopy Technician GI Assistant or OR Technician in a hospital setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices (required)
- Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and reprocessing procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
