Job Summary
InfraHire is looking for an Millwork Estimating & Purchasing Manager in Piscataway NJ.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate has experience with architectural millwork cabinetry custom fabrication or trade show/exhibit production and can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings specifications and project requirements to prepare accurate estimates
- Create bid proposals and respond to pricing requests RFQs and RFPs
- Estimate material labor vendor and production costs
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Source pricing from vendors for materials components hardware and services
- Issue track and manage purchase orders
- Monitor lead times deliveries and material availability
- Coordinate with project management design and production teams
- Help ensure materials are ordered on time and aligned with project schedules
- Maintain accurate estimating purchasing and project documentation
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in estimating purchasing procurement or materials management
- Knowledge of millwork cabinetry exhibit or custom fabrication materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings shop drawings and specifications
- Strong math analytical and organizational skills
- Experience working with vendors suppliers and internal production teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Preferred
- Experience in cabinetmaking millwork custom fabrication or trade show exhibits
- NetSuite or ERP system experience
- Background in value engineering or project cost analysis
- Purchasing experience with wood laminates hardware acrylics metals graphics or fabrication materials
