Job Summary
Job Title: Travel RN Cardiac Cath Lab (Days On-Call)
Location: Rockford IL Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP (Quick Start)
Shift: Day Shift On-Call Rotation (Weeknights Weekends Holidays)
Hours: 40 hrs/week (Guaranteed)
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a high-performing team at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center Cath Lab setting and be comfortable handling complex cardiovascular cases.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation evaluation)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
- Monitor and document patient status accurately in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery plans
- Respond effectively in high-acuity and emergency situations
- Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities
- Support patient safety initiatives and maintain care standards
- Active Illinois RN License (Required at submission)
- BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 3 years RN experience
- At least 1 year of critical care experience
- Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Intervention experience required
- Must pass EKG test during onboarding
