Job Summary

Every student has a story worth telling. At New Forest School were looking for a creative practitioner who can help our SEN students find theirs.

Joining our thriving English Department at our Dibden site youll work with young people in Years 7 to 11 sparking curiosity building confidence and opening doors through the power of language and literature. This is a role for someone who believes that the right words taught in the right way can genuinely change a life.

The successful candidate will:

Plan and deliver lessons whilst following the national curriculum.
Have a desire to work in an SEN setting.
Be approachable flexible and adaptable with a desire to make a difference in our students lives.
Have the capability for supporting children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.
Possess effective communication and relationship building skills.
Be passionate about providing quality education care and support to young people.
To intervene physically with our students when required using Team Teach trained techniques when de-escalation strategies have failed (full training will be provided).
Demonstrate analytical thinking to improve the quality of pupils learning.
Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom engage and motivate pupils.

Qualifications and requirements:

Based in the UK and do not require sponsorship.
QTS or equivalent required.
Proven teaching experience.
Desire to work in an SEN setting.
Effective communication skills and build good relationships.
Flexible and adaptable.
Full UK driving licence desirable.
