About the role:
Join our dynamic team as a Delivery-Focused Integrated Designer where youll be an integral part of the studio team for a global FMCG client based in Johannesburg. The Delivery-Focused Integrated Designer takes digital print and social content projects from brief to completion. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt designs and translate supplied campaigns and brand guidelines into impactful designs cross channels.
As the Integrated Designeryoullwork closely with thelocalclient manage your workschedules closely with the Account Director and Art would need to understandworking within specifiedtimeframesand budgets. The right candidate will alsohave the ability toensure quality and consistency of deliverables are met by self-QC.
Reporting to theArt Director the Integrated Designer will work alongsidea Copywriter and another Integrated Designer.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with the team toproduce design/adaptationto the clients brief and exacting standards from the outset until completion including OOH in-store digital print andsocial.
- Positively influencing clients with creative input in addition to undertaking and pitching new proactive creative concepts when appropriate.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables while adhering to brand guidelines and project specifications in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Produce high volume campaigns across all static and moving image channels.
- Utilising graphic design programmes such as Adobe photoshop Illustrator In-Design to deliver static content.
- Utilising After Affects to manually build bespoke requests for local markets.
- Ability to storyboard and craft short and long form animations.
- Have a strong knowledge of the brand guidelines to act as a brand guardian.
- Communicate and present projects effectively to internal stakeholders and clients incorporating feedback to refine and iterate designs as needed.
- Create inspiring and exciting content from repurposing reformatting of assets to ideation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Ability to deliver final artwork and toolkits on digital and print based material.
What you need to be great in this role:
- Equivalent of aBachelors degree in Graphic Design Visual Communication or related field
- 4 years of professional experience in designartworkand production
- Strong portfolioshowcasinga range of design work across various platforms and mediums
- Experience working with multiple campaigns languages and digital channels.
- Ability to engage and build rapport with clients and organise and influence them
- Ability to take initiative think creatively and solve problems independently
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of future-facing platforms with a desire to embrace new software and efficiency-led AI platforms
- Strong design& motionsskills and comprehensive understanding of Adobe After EffectsIllustrator In-Design Photoshopand Premier Pro and rendering/output settings.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple delivery needs right first time
- Strong typographylayoutand technical skills with excellent attention to detail
- An understanding of responsive design across all digital platforms
- Experience working withstatic andmotion usingthe full Adobe suite of programmes
- An understanding of automation software and willingness to embrace them
- Working on print-based collateral withgreat knowledgeof branding
- The ability to talk through your ideas confidently with the team and clients
- 4 years of relevant experience in:
