About the role
The role is responsible for delivering injury management services to staff which supports their recovery at work in line with the relevant legislation and policy to minimise the impact to educational continuity. This reduces the administrative burden and cost of workplace absence. The role maintains strong relationships with its customers and collaborates with key internal and external partners to deliver timely effective health management services and advice to support recovery at work.

About you
- Relevant knowledge of workers compensation and injury management legislation policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing return to work and injury management strategies for complex cases preferable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing briefs correspondence and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support recovery at work.
- Analytical and reporting skills to monitor case performance evaluate rehabilitation providers and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
- Current NSW Drivers License desirable and willingness to travel.
- Experience in a related field or relevant tertiary qualifications or training in return-to-work coordination.
