We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role ofAVP Alternative Operations
In this role you will be:
- The Alternative Investments Operations Team is responsible for the global investment operations function comprises transaction and fund services portfolio operations product/portfolio controllership for all alternative investments products of HSBC Alternatives.
- The Team operates from centres of excellence in London Bangalore and Singapore
- Transaction and Trade Services: portfolio allocation analysis transaction compliance and execution trade support control reconciliation and execution investment restrictions monitoring
- Transaction and trade support services for Private Credit.
- Fund Operation: pricing and reconciliation Net Asset Value production oversight fees and invoicing financial statement preparation and auditing of the private credit funds and mandates.
- Reporting: checking performance of underlying funds portfolio reporting supporting regulatory reporting tasks portfolio compliance (investment restrictions)assisting the management reporting and investor reporting
- Operational Risk and Compliance: implementing financial crime compliance and control support business continuity executing Operational Risk Management Framework
- Support of various system projects and implementing change in business as usual procedures
- Managing various stakeholders requirement and queries
To be successful you will be:
- Strong knowledge of Alternative Asset classes preferably prior experience into investment operations team or equivalent middle office services within asset management or asset management services
- Deep level of understanding of Net Asset Value calculations and oversight of fund administrator and lastly Microsoft office skills are required.
- Accounting skills of Alternatives asset class (Private equity/ Private Credit). Qualified accountants would be a plus.
- At least 4-11 years of experience in the asset management business.
- Effective management of escalations/issues related to operational risk.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and champion continuous improvement within the team.
