Sample Lab Technician

Sika is looking for a Sample Lab Technician to join its growing team in Shakopee MN.  This position supports the application and testing of Sika products and systems. This handson role involves material preparation following data guides and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

• Cut sand and prepare a variety of materials
• Apply products according to material data guides
• Track material usage and report low inventory
• Safely use carpentry and hand tools
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow PPE requirements.  Onthejob training and required PPE provided.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift 65 lbs
• Willing to shave facial hair to wear a halfface respirator
• Comfortable with strong nonhazardous odors
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Experience in carpentry masonry adhesives waterproofing flooring concrete repair façade systems or coatings (preferred)
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (preferred)
