Job Summary
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a Painter helper in Cincinnati Ohio. High quality standards is a must. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and possess good oral and written communication skills professional appearance and good attitude required. This position performs preparation of surfaces to be painted protects adjacent surfaces and then applies a variety of coatings to various surfaces for protection or decoration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Cleaning scraping sanding or removing existing coatings on surfaces prior to painting. |
Spreads drop cloths over floors and room furnishings and covers surfaces such as baseboards door frames and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. |
Removes fixtures such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting |
Patching caulking and sanding large and small voids or defects to a smooth finish. Fill nail holes cracks and joints with caulk putty plaster or other filler. |
Washes services prior to painting with mildew remover. |
Paints surfaces with brushes or paint rollers. |
Clean up upon completion of job and keeping job site & shop area clean |
Qualifications
Education (HS Diploma Under/Graduate Degree etc.) | HS Diploma or GED |
